TIME SYNCHRONIZATION IN THE FIFTH-GENERATION MOBILE RADIO SYSTEM

In this paper, the issue of time synchronization between base station and user equipment in a fifth-generation cellular communication system is considered. order to reduce complexity current method estimating start symbol offset, modification algorithm proposed, which cross-correlation computed parallel for each DMRS (Demodulation Reference Signal) symbol. Furthermore, calculating allows development new sampling frequency offset based on interval estimation two consecutive signals at output matched filter. It demonstrated that using parabolic interpolation local regions around correlation peak filter outputs yields an accurate temporal distance received signals. Numerical simulation results show suggested technique can estimate with accuracy less than 1 ppm over entire range signal-to-noise ratio values.
